2018 Chardonnay, Yamhill-Carlton
The fruit was sourced from Terry Family Vineyard located in Western Yamhill-Carlton AVA, near our estate vineyard. This vineyard was planted in 2011 and has a combination of newer and traditional Chardonnay clones. These clones contribute to both the fruit notes and texture of the wine. This wine was fermented and aged for 18 months in French Oak barrels; the aging process occurs in the barrels in which the wine was fermented in order to build the mid-palate and texture of the wine. Additionally one new oak barrel contributes toasted oak notes that provide a long finish to the wine.
Tasting Notes
Aromas of honey suckle, flint, and lemon balm with flavors of apple and pineapple evolving into a lengthy finish of crème brulée. This wine has a rich and silky texture.
Food Pairings
Truffle parmesan popcorn. Lemon roasted chicken. Four Cheese Mac and Cheese.
