2020 Orange Chardonnay, Eola-Amity
Orange wines are skin contact whites. The white grapes are treated very similarly to how you make a traditional red wine. The time on the on skins often results in an orange hue to the wine which is where the winemaking style name "orange wine" originates. This Chardonnay was fermented on its skins then 1/3 of the wine was aged in a new American oak barrel.
Tasting Notes
Aromas of lemon and butterschotch. On the palete the wine is bright with notes of lemon, vanilla and butterscotch.
