2017 Chardonnay, Columbia Gorge
This wine is our first foray into the venerable Chardonnay varietal. Our approach was to make this wine all about mouthfeel and refinement. It is 100% barrel fermented and aged in (mostly) neutral oak. The wine went through molo-lactic fermentation and was aged on the lees; both of which created a silky mouthfeel with volume in the mid-palate.
Tasting Notes
Aromas of caramelized sugar, toasted coconut and vanilla. Flavors of lemon, butterscotch and leather.
Food Pairings
Grilled salmon, pork loin, chicken cordon bleu, oysters on the half shell
